Abstract
Nowadays, Learning Management System (LMS) has become an alternative way for teaching and learning. This research aims to investigate students’ perceptions of CANVAS as a Learning Management System (LMS) in the Technology�Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) Course. This research took place in the English Education Department, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Teachers Training, Siliwangi University. Focusing on 2 students, including male and female who used Canvas in their learning. This research seeks to gain in-depth understanding of 2 students’ perception about Canvas in TELL course. Considering students’ perception of Canvas as LMS, their activeness in the field is important for successfully developing LMS in academic programs. The data were taken from an interview. A thematic analysis showed that they were represented as how they realize the utilization of Canvas to support the learning process. Canvas can access every time and anytime because Canvas provides features including summary of materials, schedule, modules, etc. Therefore, Canvas can effectively be used for students and teachers in distance learning. Most of the students recognized that the features of Canvas were beneficial for the students especially in the learning process. Hence, Canvas also increases students’ critical thinking and motivation in learning and Canvas provides a fun method in teaching learning process in TELL course.
