Abstract
The important aspects of learning English are pronunciation, and how to pronounce words or sentences correctly. Unfortunately, some students do not realize that they make pronunciation mistakes, especially when pronouncing consonants and vowels. In the technology era, interesting learning media are the most important tools for learning English. Dubbing video is a medium that can be used to learn pronunciation. This research aims to explore students' learning strategies in practicing pronunciation through video dubbing. The method was used a descriptive case study. The participants consisted of 4 students in the English education department, Tasikmalaya. The research data collection used semi-structured interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006). The results showed that five themes became the findings of this study, namely: (1) searching for the correct pronunciation; (2) listening and imitating pronunciation from videos and website; (3) drilling and reading aloud strategies; (4) writing phonetic transcription of the unfamiliar word and practice to pronounce; and (5) peer feedback strategies on pronunciation practices. Thus, students can consider the use of this learning strategy as a reference for practicing English pronunciation through video dubbing. In addition, teachers can also utilize this learning strategy to maximize teaching English pronunciation.
