Abstract

The wide variety of teaching strategies can sometimes confuse teachers, especially in Indonesia where some schools haven’t implemented the curriculum ‘Merdeka’ yet. The different ages and backgrounds of students are also taken into consideration when picking a strategy. This research was conducted to find what kind of teaching strategies EFL teachers use and their impact on their students emotionally. The data from this research was gathered through a direct semi�structured interview and an indirect semi-structured interview through WhatsApp. After the data was gathered, the researcher used Qualitative data analysis to compile the data. The researcher found that teachers were using strategies such as problem�based learning, grammar-translation methods, project-based learning, and technology incorporation. The researcher also found that even though all of the strategies mentioned were successful in making students feel pleasure but, half of the strategies were unsuccessful in making students feel arousal and dominant.
