Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe EFL learners' perceptions of using @englishfestid on X which has been used for 1-2 years consistently on learning English vocabulary process. The research method used a descriptive case study. The participants consisted of three students majoring in English education at a university in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. Data were collected using semi�structured interviews. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006). The results showed that the participants had various perceptions of using @englishfestid on X to learn English vocabulary. These results are 1) vocabulary development, 2) students' self-confidence, 3) effective and enjoyable learning media, and 4) learning focus distraction. The implication of this study is to emphasize on EFL learners' perception towards using @englishfestid in the process of learning English vocabulary. Based on the results of the analysis, the researcher concludes that EFL students have a positive perception during the process of learning English vocabulary, which implies that @englishfestid can be a feasible place as a learning resource in the process of learning English vocabulary autonomously outside formal learning.
