Abstract
DETERMINANTS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES IN JAVA: PANEL DATA ANALYSIS 2008-2022 By: M. Rizki Kurnia Muharam NPM 193401063 Advisor: Guide I Guide II : Dr. Apip Supriadi, S.E., M.Si., CRA., CRP., CSBA : Ignatia Bintang Filia Dei Susilo, S.Si., M.Sc., CSBA This study aims to determine the effect of regional minimum wage, inflation, economic growth, government spending on employment opportunities in Java Island in 2008-2022. This research uses secondary data taken from the official portal of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The research method used is quantitative descriptive research method. Data collection is carried out to obtain information related to the phenomenon of conditions, or certain variables and is not intended to conduct hypothesis testing. This research uses the panel data regression analysis method and is processed using the Eviews-9 application. The results of this study indicate that partially the regional minimum wage variable, and the government expenditure variable have a positive and significant effect, while the inflation variable has a positive and insignificant effect, and the economic growth variable has a negative and insignificant effect on employment opportunities in Java Island in 2008-2022. Jointly, regional minimum wage, inflation, economic growth, and government spending on employment opportunities in Java Island in 2008-2022. The Adjusted R Square determination test result is 0.937350. This means that the regional minimum wage, inflation, economic growth, and government spending are able to explain changes in the employment opportunity variable in Java Island by 93.73% and the remaining 6.27% is explained by other variables outside the study.
