Abstract
THE ROLE OF LEADING SECTORS IN THE TRANSFORMATION OF ECONOMIC STRUCTURE IN CENTRAL SULAWESI PROVINCE 2010-2022 By: Putri Cahyaningsih Student ID: 203401054 Mentors: Apip Supriadi Encang Kadarisman This research aims to identify leading sectors and analyze whether there has been a shift in the economic structure in Central Sulawesi Province. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from relevant institutions over a 13-year analysis period from 2010 to 2022. The data is sourced from the Central Statistics Agency of Indonesia and the Central Sulawesi Province. The analytical tools used include Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift-Share Analysis, and Klassen Typology Analysis. The results of the Location Quotient analysis conclude that Central Sulawesi Province has seven leading sectors or base sectors and ten non-base sectors. The analysis of Dynamic Location Quotient indicates that 17 economic sectors in Central Sulawesi Province have experienced faster development compared to the same sectors at the national level. Furthermore, the results of the shift-share analysis in Central Sulawesi Province show that all economic sectors have undergone positive shifts. The analysis of klassen typology reveals that there are five sectors classified as advanced and rapidly growing. Based on all the analyses conducted, it can be concluded, using descriptive analysis, that there are several priority sectors for development in Central Sulawesi Province. These are sectors with positive notations in each analysis conducted.
