THE INFLUENCE OF THE HUMAN DEVELOPMENT INDEX, ECONOMIC GROWTH, PROVINCIAL MINIMUM WAGE, AND LABOR FORCE ON THE LEVEL OF OPEN UNEMPLOYMENT ON THE ISLAND OF JAVA YEAR 2016-2022 By: Tazilla Muchtar NPM 203401099 Guide I : Asep Yusup Hanapia Guide II : Nanang Rusliana This research aims to analyze the influence of the human development index, economic growth, provincial minimum wage, and labor force on the open unemployment rate on the island of Java in 2016-2022. The method used in this research is panel data regression analysis method. The variables used in this research are the open unemployment rate (dependent) as well as the human development index variables, economic growth, provincial minimum wage, and labor force (independent). Panel data covers provinces on the island of Java in 2016-2022 taken from the Ministry of Finance and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The results of this research show that the human development index has an insignificant negative effect on the level of open unemployment. Economic growth has a significant negative effect on the open unemployment rate. The provincial minimum wage has a significant positive effect on the open unemployment rate and the labor force has a positive but not significant effect on the open unemployment rate on the island of Java in 2016-2022.
