PERAN SEKTOR UNGGULAN DALAM TRANSFORMASI STRUKTUR EKONOMI DI PROVINSI KEPULAUAN RIAU TAHUN 2012-2023

The aim of this research is to identify leading sectors and evaluate whether there has been a shift in the economic structure in the Riau Islands Province. Secondary data used in this research was obtained from relevant institutions for 12 years of analysis, from 2012 to 2023. This data was collected from the Riau Islands Province and the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics. The analutical tools used are Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ),Shift-Share Analysis, and Klassen Typology Analysis. The results of the Location Quotient analysis show that the Riau Islands Province has 7 superior sectors and 10 non-basic sectors. Dynamic Location Quotient analysis shows that 17 economic sectors in the Riau Islands Province are developing faster than the same sectors at the national level. The results of the Shift-Share analysis in the Riau Islands Province also show significant shifts in all economic sectors. And the results of the Klassen Typology analysis show that there are 5 sectors that are included in the advanced and fast growing category. Based on all the analyzes that have been carried out, it can be concluded that there are several sectors that are priorities for the development of the Riau Islands Province. These sectors have received positive marks from every analysis that has been carried out.
