PENGARUH URBANISASI, KEPADATAN PENDUDUK DAN RASIO KETERGANTUNGAN TERHADAP KEMISKINAN DI PULAU JAWA TAHUN 2006-2023

This study aims to determine the impact of urbanization, population density, and dependency ratio on the poverty rate in six provinces of the Java island region, namely the DKI Jakarta Province, Banten, D.I Yogyakarta, West Java, Central Java, and East Java from 2006 to 2023. The data used in this study are secondary data sourced from the Provincial BPS and Global Data Lab. This study uses a quantitative method in the form of panel data applying the panel data regression model. The results of this study can be partially concluded that the dependency ratio has a significant positive effect, urbanization has a significant negative effect, and population density has an insignificant positive effect on poverty in Java Island from 2006 to 2023. Collectively, urbanization, population density, and the dependency ratio significantly affect poverty in the Java Island region from 2006 to 2023. Policies regulating the pace of urbanization by emphasizing regional planning and the expansion of comprehensive social and educational programs to address the impacts of population density and poverty.
