ANALYSIS OF LEADING SECTORS AND POTENTIAL IN DEVELOPMENT PLANNING TASIKMALAYA CITY By: Maudy Saharani NIM. 213401011 Guide I : Apip Supriadi Guide II : Jumri This study aims to analyze the leading and potential economic sectors in Tasikmalaya City and their role in regional development planning. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from BPS Tasikmalaya City and West Java with an analysis period of 14 years, namely 2010 to 2023. The methods used are Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), Shift Share, and Klassen Typology. Using Microsoft Excel software. The results of the LQ analysis show 13 basic sectors and 4 non-basic sectors. The results of the DLQ analysis show 15 potential sectors and 2 non-potential sectors. The results of the Shift Share analysis show that the economic sector has experienced a good shift. The policies of the central government or the reference regional government have an impact on the growth of all sectors in Tasikmalaya City. The results of the Klassen Typology analysis show that there are three sectors included in the prime sector. Leading and potential sectors have an important role in determining regional development priorities.
